Blast Furnace Shutdown

Allfab received a glowing report from BlueScope Steel’s Blast Furnace Coordinator in relation to work completed on the No 5 Blast Furnace shutdown in September.

In particular, it was noted that the effort from all crews at Allfab was at a very high standard, with hand safety being a major focus. The shutdown was completed within the set timeframe and with zero safety incidents.

Well done to Damien Sheedy and Mark O’Keefe who were praised for taking ownership of this shutdown. They worked hard to ensure everyone understood the requirements of the project and demonstrated leadership throughout the shutdown.

Damien Sheedy has also been highly commended by Allfab’s Operations Managers who were impressed with his pre-planning and ongoing outstanding results as a supervisor. Well done Damien and all the crews involved in this shutdown.
