BOS No1 Charging Crane

A major failure on the #1 charging crane was discovered at BlueScope Steel over the October long weekend. A long travel wheel axel was found to have snapped, requiring a 16-20 hour change out to repair.

Shane Blackmore, one of Allfab’s Supervisors, was able to coordinate a night shift crew that worked well with the existing day crew to ensure the change out was completed on time and incident free.  

Well done to Shane who not only took leadership of the project and was able to quickly meet the client’s requirements, but was also described by the client as a pleasure to work with.
