Coil Box Down Day | BlueScope Hot Strip Mill

Working with BlueScope Steel in the Hot Strip Mill, Allfab crews worked on a shut down in the Coilbox area. The crew, lead by Steve Zimmerman, encountered a potential problem when a descaling spool could not be installed. Steve worked with the Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator on site to create a solution which saw the spool successfully installed before programmed rolling time.

The client made special mention to Shane Blackmore and Paul Goodwin who worked on fitting the spool and torqueing the studs to the correct torque in a safe and timely manner.
